Hi All,it is not that much Rocket science.....u can install cognos all versions in Windows7(Home premium/Ultimate)versions ..... ping me i will send the PDF that will describes in detail how to install cognos on this environment
Installation on Windows 7 is not a problem! I don't have experience with the 64 bit version, but 32 bit is not a problem. If you want to install send me your E-mail address in a personal message and I can send you a Word document on how to install it. The word document has all sorts of screen shots in it for every single step!If you are using IIS 7.0 (that's what I used when installing for the Word document) check the following:http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21343353If you are using IIS 7.50 check the following:http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21381516If you are installing Cognos 64 bit on a 64 bit OS it is possible that you need to run IIS in 32 bit mode. (This is because a part of the 64 bit suite is still in 32 bit. And that part is the website)In order to run IIS in 32 bit mode run the following in a command prompt:cscript [your location]\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1(Search for the adsutil.vbs to fill in [your location])
