ReportNet Integrated with ASP.NET Application
« on: 09 May 2006 05:35:49 am »
We have an ASP.NET application that is using Crystal Report for report generation, but the new company standard is ReportNet.  I would like to know if has anyone integrated Cognos ReportNet with ASP.NET.

If so, would you be kind enough to share your experience and technique.

Thank You.

Send dataset or datagrid result to ReportNet.  With Crystal Report, we can send a dataset to Crystal.

Does it make anysense?

Oh, how I don't miss the Crappy component.  I wish I had the ReportNet SDK so I could tell you if it were possible or not.  Without it, you can send parameters to a report from ASP but, not a dataset that's sitting in memory.  You could always build a temporary table that you populate with ASP and use ReportNet to display and format with no parameters.
