POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently assisting one of our clients, a leader in their industry, in their search for a Cognos Developer with experience working with the latest Cognos Suite of Products (Series 8.4), hands-on utilization of Cognos tools (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager, PowerPlay, PowerPrompts, SDK, Cognos Query, Go Mobile, Cognos Now and Business View Point), and strong database skills (Oracle, SQL, Teradata). Candidates with experience working on financial reporting projects highly desired. Hi,

You might want to review the requirements in the 'Position Summary' section and the 'Technical Requirements' section of the post.  The advert claims to be looking for candidates with experience in Cognos 8.4, but then refers to two components from Cognos 7 (PowerPrompts and Cognos Query) in the above sections.  I'd guess that 'Cognos Query' should actually be 'Query Studio', but PowerPrompts experience seems incongruous and unnecessary, as it is appropriate only to Cognos 7 Impromptu Web Reports (IWR), which is not part of the Cognos 8 architecture or product suite.

Being really nit-picky (sorry), it's also inaccurate to ask for "experience working with the latest Cognos Suite of Products (Series 8.4)", since the latest suite of products is currently Cognos 10.

Overall, this doesn't really inspire confidence that your client knows what they are looking for, so it's probably worthwhile modifying the post (in my humble opinion).
