Conditional Cascading Prompts in Report Studio

Okay, this one looks tough. I am trying to design cascading prompts in Report Studio. However, while Prompt A cascades to Prompt B - Prompt B might or might not cascade to Prompt C. Since both prompts B and C should cascade to the previous one selected, how could I develop such a prompt that is able to cascade on the one previously selected....since I might opt not to select the intermediate one(s)....in this case Prompt B.
