Accessing attributes on LDAP

Hi, does anyone know the answer to the following question :
1)  Is Cognos capable of accessing additional information stored in the ADAM directory for reporting ie: email address, termination date, start date, manager id, building code etc?
2) If a status of suspended (S), active(A) and terminated (T) is available in the ADAM directory, can Cognos utilise this information to update the status of the user without having an adminstrator to update the status of a user through access manager? I'm trying to minimise the administration of users by refreshing the ADAM directory.
