How to link a List/Crosstab with a chart

This is more of an Analysis Studio feature but they want it in a Report Studio report.

I have a List report showing sales by Product Lines (drilling down to Products) measured by all 12 months. I also have a Line chart showing exactly the same thing but in a graphical way instead of a List report.

When I drill down on the List report, how do we drill down on the chart also? meaning the chart should change alongwith the List report. Is it possible to put both of them in a single table/block and then link them together? They have to work together, not the Master-Detail kind of thing.

Any ideas?

Sorry I am new to Report Studio, was more in Powerplay earlier.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure that as long a you connect the Chart to the same query that your list/crosstab is drilling on, the chart will re-render at the same level the list/crosstab is on.

I want to link the drill down behavior of a graph and a table in same report i.e. when i drill down on graph I should get drilled down on table as well it's possible with cognos 8.4 but I want to do with 8.2 . In 8.4 in drill behavior dialogue box ders one tab called link query object by which we can do this how to do it in 9.2 is my question?please reply me on pradyot.tarde@gmail.com and please send stepwise procedure as m newbie to report studio,,,,,thnx in advance
