1 content store for multiple servers
« on: 09 Apr 2007 01:58:03 pm »
Is it possible to have one content store for 2 or more servers?  I have two servers at two different locations and would love to only have one content store to keep up to date.

Thanks

Absolutely. One of them will be Active and the other on a standby.

Is there someplace or thread you can point to that will show me how to set this up?

Thanks!

Check Cognos Documentation for standard setup instructions. During Configuration, make sure that both servers have the same DB for Content Store and that they know about each other, by specyfying bith of them in the list of Configuration Manager URIs in the Environment folder of Cognos Configuration. They will load balance and elect themselves. Use of FQDN is recomended although not required.
