Report Studio - Layout Component Reference

In my case I have a lot of reports that reference a template layout via “Layout Component Reference”. But is there a way to reference a query from another report which will be stored in a template which can be reference like the Layout Component Reference?

Hi,

Not using the Cognos UI, no.  Layout component references are only for the reuse of layout components, not queries or data items.  If you have the SDK, you could probably write some code to update a set of reports with a given query spec, but obviously that requires some coding knowledge.
