Create Bar Code for Scanning

I opened up a case with Cognos Support but have got a response to resolve my issue. I am trying to create a bar code report for scanning student ids - The bar code is using Code39Three. I changed the student id to font Code39Three. The student id does change to a Bar Code but the bar codes does not scan. This report works fine with Cognos Impromptu but does not in Report Studio. The font is installed on the server and Cognos Configuration. I appreciate any assistance possible.

Tim,

We had to use 3OF9.ttf for our scanning system to read barcodes.  You may need to try another font type and see if it resolves the issue.

I also recommend just using 3of9.  I tried using free3of9.ttf, and it woulnd't work, but I've gotten a good scan using 3of9.ttf
