Anyone have any suggestions or best practices for converting PPXs to Report Studio reports?
We're considering just rewriting Cognos series 7 PPX reports in Report Studio 8.3 from scratch and trying to make them look similar to the originals. Looks like the equivalent Powerplay crosstab and chart functionality is available in Report Studio 8.3. Wondering how best to replace the PPX style hierarchical prompting. We use a lot of prompts with our reports. Any suggestions? Doesn't look like value prompts or tree prompts provide exactly the same functionality as prompts in PPX reports. Are there some good techniques for replacing the PPX style prompts with some kind of user friendly prompts in Report Studio? Any other tips on switching reports from PPXs to Report Studio reports? Thanks.
