editing Joins in FM 8.3
« on: 29 Jan 2009 06:20:30 pm »
we have a number of conformed dimensions in our integrated data model, org structure etc, which live in their own folder in the business layer.
I have joined the org structure to a table in another folder, HR. No problems, works fine. The join appears grey in the diagram, not black. To edit the join I have to move the org structure from the conformed dimension folder to the HR folder. Is ther any other way of editting this join, as this 'Org structure will be used in other other parts of the model, sales, purchasing, etc

Your help, ideas greatly appreciated
Thanks

The join (relationship) defintion will reside in the most common namespace/folder.  Since your two query subject reside in different places, your relationship will be stored at a higher folder/ns, and displayed in a different color in the diagram.  Go to the folder/ns that has the relationship definition to edit it.
