Training Material

Hi,

I recently completed the ReportNet FastTrack training - and I'm wondering if anyone knows whether I can get a hold of the training material?  Not the textbooks, but the actual reports themselves.

I'm mainly interested in the reports used with the Modeling and Report Authoring components - so it doesn't have to be the FastTrack training specifically, but alternatively from the separate Authoring or Modeling courses from which the FastTrack is derived.

I want to re-do some of the training examples, but you need the reports to start with and they didn't come with the training manuals.

Thats really great that u r really intersted in learning things. But i am afraid u may not get the things what u want because all the reports are real time business reports. i am afraid most of us including me can't share their work. What we can all share among us are the problems and solutions that we are facing.

Email your instructor for the files you are wanting. I did this and got a zip files emailed to me of all the training material for the class. If you took cognos training I believe their email addresses are firstname.lastname@cognos.com

Also, next time you take training you should consider taking a USB stick to save all your files to.

All needed reports and databases are shipped with the CRN software. Check out the administration and security guide (also shipped with CRN) to learn how to set up the samples.

Hi Mick,

The Cognos training courses use the sample GO Sales and Retailers package, which is shipped with ReportNet as standard.  It can easily be imported onto your server - just copy the deployment archive from Samples into ReportNet's Deployment folder (on disk), create the GOSL and GORT databases and restore them from the samples shipped, then import the deployment from within Cognos Connection.

Different countries have different rules on issuing course data, so your instructor may or may not be able to provide you with the course data - depends where you attended the course.
