Set up Remote Framework Manager DB2 Connections
« on: 11 Feb 2009 09:15:22 pm »
I am using FM to create models on a remote server.  I thought when you do this you have to have the databases connections configured the same on both the server and the local machine.  Is that correct?  I am pretty sure I have them named the same but I am always prompted to give a userid and password and my valid password is never successfull.  Does anyone know why this would happen?

Thanks

In 8.4 there is a folder called CS7 Gateways and under Bin folder a file called cs7g.ini, in that you have to add the following lines for that datasource under [DataBases] section

annual_plan_pub=;LOCAL;OL;Provider=SQLOLEDB;Driver=SQL Server;UID=username;PWD=password;SERVER=servername;DATABASE=annual_plan_pub
