Conditional list report

hi,
How can retrieve the N number of List column with based on seleting Row Ranges in Cognos 8 Report studio?
For Example:
From the Value prompt select the Ranges like 1-10, 11-20 and last 10. If i select the particular 1-10 range i need to display the List columns first 10 rows record.. similiarly 11-20 records not first 10 records and last 10 records. i got only one column.. but not get more than one column... please anyone explain this solution with step by step..
