We are using Cognos Now! for network monitoring and for customer service department (contact center). How You are using? Do you use WebServices to push data to Now? How about SDK?

hi we want to get cognos now for real time dashboarding.Does the data still have to be modeled prior to being used?

Hello, data is modeled with Real-time Monitoring "Workbench". It depends much what kind of data you have. You can for example just pull content of tables to appliance and then do a simple report to show it's content. Or you can create "consolidated data"  from different sources, then use data in a real time cube, and show it with advanced reports
