Unable to use the backURL for cognos.cgi in cognos 8.4.1

Always get the parameter value verify failed in passing the backURL in cognos.cgi. I found it it's fail when the URL consist of colon ':'. The case is obvious when the host in the link including a port no. like localhost:9300. Anyone has similar problem ?

Are you referring to the "&ui.backURL" in a URL?  If so, we always encode it some thing like below.  Note: we use isapi
