Scheduled reports fail to run - e-mail notification from event studio??

Hi all,

We have a lot of scheduled reports setup in Cognos 8,4 - but sometimes they fail for a different number of reasons.

I was wondering if it is possible for Event Studio to send somekind of e-mail notification to the report owner or the cognos admin?
I have very limited experience in Event Studio and therefore also know little about the possibilities.

If report studio cannot is there then any other program in Cognos 8 which can...??
