We are using Cognos Finance 7.5 with Excel Add In. Every so often, Excel is unable to connect to the add in since the ports need to be refreshed. At present, we need to manually open the server configuration, go the network api server and toggle the ports to refresh them. Is there a way to automate this?
If it is not too much to ask, could anyone please explain me what happens at the back end when the ports are refreshed?
