Unable to edit Report schedule

Folks,
We are using Cognos v. 11.06 upgraded from  v.11:04 and are still using the Even Studio for scheduling and bursting reports.

There were several issues we faced:
(a) Unable to alter the date/time of a report scheduled before the upgrade
(b) Many of the scheduled reports don't get delivered as before (by email).

A workaround has been to delete the previous Agent, and re-create it with a new schedule - but we still cannot alter the saved agent in anyway. If we do, then the reports do not get delivered.
Another workaround  is to use the Report Studio to schedule the reports. But I am not sure is all the Event Studio functionality exist in the RS scheduling.
We have a whole lot of reports that have been scheduled since previous versions, and would like to explore alternative ways.

Any pointers is greatly appricaited.

Wondering if you ever got a resolution for (a). We're having a similar problem with triggers imported into 11.0.7 that were created in a previous version.
