hide page when no data available
« on: 11 Apr 2018 01:08:24 am »
Hi,

I have created one crosstab report in which I have applied section on order No. and page brake on Category.

Now I need to hide page when no data available.

i have used Render Page when empty - 'YES' but still blank page is appearing.

what can i do?

Thanks,

Have you tried to filter your query so no empty categories are shown? If it is a dimensional source you can suppress zeros.

Render page when empty YES means that a page will be shown even when empry, so the opposite of what you want.

Additionally you could define the No data content property but that is something else. Variables and condition explorer could be a solution too seems overkill to me.

Well, filter the query that feeds the page break.

Nevertheless, you create a boolean variable in the condition explorer, define the condition like [category] is not NULL OR [category] <> '' and then you assign this variable as render variable in the properties of the page.

However, I am not sure if the variable is not always true with a page break since some data will always be in the query.
