We have created a Stored Procedure in SQLServer  DB and have used it to create report in 10.2.2. Interestingly SP returns data in less than a minute in db but Cognos is taking 5 minutes to display data in a simple list report. Can any one please share ideas.

You can change the properties of the query to local processing only and then to database and look if there is a difference.

If you ONLY have items of the stored procedure and none additionally from any other datasource then there would be no joining that Cognos has to do in its own query engine. Is this true for your test report? Try only one data item of the SP and see the performance, then test with more...

It matters how heavily formatted your report is and the output format (HTML, PDF, Excel, etc). The result set size can also affect rendering time, as Cognos has to do something with all of the data after it gets it. If it is a large number of rows this can take some time.
