TM1 / Re: Passing MUN from TM1 to DB table
« Last post by MFGF on Today at 05:44:11 am »
Hi, thanks for any help!

I am trying to set up Event Studio to run a report with parameters passed from TM1.  I have added a button in TM1 that writes a record to a table with the options users select.  I want to pass the MUN and not the name into the table and then use it to populate the params in my Report Studio report.  I can see in my package that I have the MUN added when I look in RS so it is there somewhere, just how do I pass it from TM1 to the DB table?

Thanks

Hi,

Firstly, I LOVE your forum name! A blast from the past. :)

As you know, my old friend, I'm not an expert in the dark arts of TM1, but I know a Kipper who is - might be worth reaching out to him directly?

Hope you're keeping well and enjoying all the globe-trotting!

Cheers!

What are you using as your content store? Are you seeing any relevant entries in cogserver.log that identify what is going on?

Also, one other thing I observed is, the newly created content store database has got just 110 tables and there are no NC_* tables.
I tried cleaning up the database / with a new empty database and start cognos content mangaer. Both times I ended up with only 110 tables in the content store?

Any idea why NC_* tables are not getting created?

Thanks,

Hi MF,

I have un-installed Cognos 10.2.1 and installing Cognos Analytics on that machine.
I thought that could be a case, but I don't see the folders: encryptkeypair and signkeypair at all.

Thanks,
Anupama

Active Reports / Re: Basic Active report not rendering
« Last post by MFGF on Today at 03:14:31 am »
Thank you for your response. I will try to get over a sample report. However, the report has no controls, links. The only thing available is a visualization. I thought if I can see the visualization I will add the rest.

So you've built an Active Report that contains just one visualization? Does it sit within any structure (deck/table/block/tab control etc)? Can you show us using the samples what the issue is?

Reporting / Re: Html in PDF view Cognos 11

Thanks for reply, is there any way to work around it?
Your help is appreciated

Not unless you can persuade someone to change the PDF standard specification worldwide :) It's a PDF limitation, not anything to do with your Cognos report, so nothing you do in your Cognos report can change it.

I have an active report with three visualizations.  Is there an easy way to add a title to each visualization without doing a block/text above each one?  It surprises me that there isn't an option to add a title.

Hi,

Adding a block or table cell containing the text you need is the way to do it. It also means you have precise control over the size and position :)

Cheers!
