Trying to nest Items from the Same Dimension

Hi all.

I'm trying to nest items from the same dimension. I select the dimension and drag it to the work area as row. Then I select it and right-click it and click Expand.

I want to do the same with at least four depths (the dimension contains four depths), but when I try to expand the dimension (depth 3) the option is not available so I can't show this level data.

¿Is it a Cognos limitation or is it a default level I can modify in some configuration file? I need to create a report containing all levels from the same dimension.

Hi,

Unfortunately it's a built-in limitation in Analysis Studio - you can't nest more than three levels from the same dimension.  Do you need to be using Analysis Studio for this, or could you use Query Studio instead?

I think I need Analysis Studio because I have to cross a lot of data for this report.

Hmmm - why not just build a crosstab report in Query Studio (or Report Studio)?
