Best Practices - setting up big reports

I am new to QueryStudio and was hoping to get some tips on setting up big reports to run overnight.

I am trying to set up a report with 5 columns of data: 2 business dimensions at their lowest level, 1 year of data by month, 1 sales column, 1 revenue column.

The problem I have is when adding the sales/revenue columns, it seems like the report tries to actually run (which takes several hours).

But what I want is to set up the definition of the report, and have the numbers run overnight.

Are there any settings to prevent the report from calculating when setting it up, or perhaps a better way to accomplish my task?
