Pivot table

I am using Query Studio to create a pivot table/crosstab summary The data in the column contains some data that needs to be renamed so I use the calculated group option to define a new column name and use that in the table. But it always blows up. It does not allow calculated groups in the crosstab/pivot tables? If not, how do I redine the data? For example, it contains Joe, Mike, Bill, XXX and I redefine XXX as Unknown. It works fine when I use the original column name, but XXX displays and I need it to display Unknown. How else can I do this?
