Need Cognos V7.5 Install Files - please help
« on: 26 Aug 2014 05:50:51 pm »
Hello,

We have lost our Cognos V7 install discs and need to rebuild a server in order to generate some reports before we finally upgrade.

We are desperate to find the Cognos V7 install files. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Steve

Hi,

You should be able to download installs from IBM - go to the Passport Advantage site and log in with your Customer Number, and you should get access to all your entitled software.

Cheers!

Unfortunately we don't have a customer number or a login. This software was purchase a long time ago, and the company has changed hands twice (I think.) We own the rights and licensing, but the people who originally installed and configured are long gone.

Oh dear. I'm afraid you're completely stuck. The only place you can get the software legally is from IBM. If you have an ongoing support agreement with IBM you can get in touch with them and explain you lost your customer number - they should be able to help you find out what it is. If you don't have support you're not going to get very far, though.

Good luck!
