Export to Excel: filename so long

When exporting a report to Excel, the downloaded Excel's filename is ridiculously long with plenty of random, meaningless characters.  Is there any way to modify the default name when downloading to excel?  It seems that the long default name is causing problem's with users' profiles.  (We're using Cognos 8 and Excel 2000.

A work around could be to use the Run with Options function and have the report delivered via e-mail, or even saved back into the environment and then perform a download from the version history.  Either way will avoid the generated filename.

The secret is to not view the file directly from C8.  Let it run and deliver, then download the delivery instead of trying to view it directly.
