Boxplot without built-in calculations?
« on: 05 May 2017 01:44:07 am »
Hi there,

I'm working on creating a report which should contains a box plot for visualization. So my IT has installed vis.sample.boxplot for me to use. Unfortunately, that one takes whatever values you feed it and does its own statistical analysis to populate the 5 value markers a single box plot contains of.

However, I've already done my calculations (and differently than the box plot would do it), so I'd very much prefer a visualization that does not do any analysis but straight up plots the values I feed it. Anyone know of such a box plot viz?

Your best bet is to reach out to Craig Taylor (username is cct) on the IBM developerworks forums. He works with Active Reports and Visualizations at IBM and is very responsive on the forums.

Tip: Search through his post history as well. You'll find some great gems.

Indeed, I thought of suggesting this when I saw hespora's request, but didn't want to take traffic away from Cognoise  :-\
