Consistency Check deleting admin user
« on: 20 Nov 2018 05:25:41 pm »
Just wondering if anyone sets up an admin user in cognos outside the Namespaces?
Is it possible to prevent that user being deleted by the conssitency check utility?
Cognos 10.2.2 and Cognos 11

Hi,

Can you tell us what you mean by "outside the Namespaces"? I can't see how it would be possible to have a user not contained within a namespace. Can you elaborate?

MF.

Hi
We use our own CAP - I was referring to that as an outside namespace.
Probably not the best choice of words.

If running the consistency check on All Namespaces - the SystemAdmin user that we have created gets deleted.
I'm wondering if its possible to somehow exempt our created superuser "SystemAdmin" to be exempted from the consistency check
