Bulk delete reports not being used
« on: 29 Apr 2019 09:47:08 am »
Hello Community,

I am cleaning the Cognos 10.2.2 Environment from unused reports and looking for tips and ideas how to do this most efficiently. Are there any scripts you can run towards the content store database to find and delete reports based on timestamp being used ?

All tips are greatly apprieciated.
best reagrds,
Oscar

Hi,

There is package and model that get shipped with IBM cognos,
known as audit package,

It tells you the details of report execution, whether it was executed in last days, months or years. accordingly you can get the details of the reports and package that are not used and can delete the same. You need to check with the person who installed cognos

Hey Saumil,

I know this, but you still have to delete the reports manually. I was thinking if there was somekind of way to automate this process, so that the reports that are not being used are deleted automatically once you run the script.
