Number of children or parents of a category cannot exceed 65,536 error

Hi All,

Can someone please help me with this error :

I have a "Item number" dimension (single level) which has categories exceeding 65,536. To resolve this I have created an additional level with logic substring(item number ,1,4). this pretty much resolves the issue but I would like to hide this level in the cube output. Is there a way to achieve this ?

I have tried applying suppress on new level but that didn't help.

Any help in this regard is appreciated
