Ugh How do ya get the sql out of a thousand reports?
« on: 13 Oct 2005 07:50:14 pm »

Anyone know if it is possible to extract the sql for all reports in Cognos Query?
(that is, for each published report in everyone's NewBox, how does one -automatically- compile the sql for each ?)

Very much appreciate any insights any guru may have!!!!!!!!!!

Easy peasy .. it's stored in the Cognos database as XML.  Just query the tables and parse XML for the Queries ;)

It depends - is this really Cognos Query (ie the old Series 7 web ad-hoc report authoring tool) or are you using ReportNet / Cognos 8 / Cognos 10?
