Performance tips for mod2_cognos.so

We have migrated from a windows box running ISAPI to a unix box running mod2_cognos.so for the gateway and now ... when we run simple reports that have a prompt page .. 3 seconds to return in ISAPI 13 in mod2_cognos.so .... any tuning tips?
