Impromptu Catalogue access



Does any one  have a clue asto how to resolve this error message that comes up whenever i try to open a catalogue or report

 Your logon was incorrect. You entered an invalid user-id and /or an invalid password


Is the Cognos Common Login currently active (ie do you see the little yellow key in tour tooltray?)  If you log out here (right click the key symbol, and use the log off option) I'm guessing you will now get an Access Manager login dialog when you try to open your catalog.  Enter your correct Access Manager userid and password, and see if this then gets you in...

If it doesn't, try logging in as Administrator, or as a user that belongs to the root user class.
