AFAIK, the only build-in maintenance task is the consistency check against the directory service to find dead users.
Apart  from  that i run some scripts for environment housekeeping, eg. archive old logs, delete java/bibus dumps, etc.
It also figured out that cognos works best if restarted daily.
From time to time i check audit db and cogserver.log for application errors. (best viewed with bin/logviewV2.exe)

I'm shure that there are some little things more i don't remember jet.

joe123,

I would also be interested in the archive logs and delete java/bibus files, etc.  Can you elaborate or share any scripts, etc.?

Thank you,
Jeff

Jeff,
If u have configured audit package, u can take the audit database backup for archiving logs.. In case if u dont have audit database, I guess u have to work towards
c8/installation (transfer.logs,transfer summary error.log,
c8/configuration (coglocale,startup,cogstartup.bak),
c8/logs (cogserver.log,gateway.log,unistall.log)

does any cog admin archive these files?? please correct if im incorrect..

gud luck
