Title: Urgent Help - Cognos Single Signon(SSO) LDAP
Post by: KANUL on 02 Dec 2010 09:51:21 PM
Hi All,

I am trying to implement Single Signon for Cognos8.4.1.
We are having WAS(Web sphere application server not the portal server) where all the java applications are deployed . Cognos links will also be on WAS. We are using Tivoli LDAP.
When some one logins in the Java page & clicks on Cognos reports , he sould not be prompted for the user ID.

Thanks in advance.

This should not be a problem ..

First you need to implement the SSO between Cognos and LDAP. You should define a new security namespace in Cognos Configuration and configure your LDAP. You should disable the anonymous access and make sure that your users are accessing Cognos using their LDAP usernames.

After that you should configure your WAS to work with LDAP also. Your WAS administrator can help in this.

Hope this could help.
