Title: Configuring LDAP on windows 2003 with sun one

Hi,

Can anyone provide guidence on configuring LDAP on a new windows server with sun one for cognos 8.4.1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

There is a bit of work to be done here depending on what you need
If its Series 7 LDAP then you need Access Manager to extend the LDAP schema
If its just setting up LDAP then you will need to be aware of the Directory server object naming conventions

As a complementary software I'd recommend Softera LDAP browser.  You install this and connect to your LDAP DS which then gives you the object names you are likely to use in C8 Cognos Configuration.

Bit hard to answer without really knowing the LDAP vendor but see how you go
