Hi,

I am using Cognos 8.4.1 which content store is configured in SQL Server 2005. Also, it functions as expected.

However, due to some reason, our architecture wants to change the content store database from SQL Server 2005 to Oracle 11g.

Hence, could anyone please suggest me what are the steps required if I have to migrate existing content store from SQL Server 2005 to Oracle 11g?

1. Take a full Export of your Content Store
2. Shut down Cognos
3. Switch Content Store connectivity from Configuration Management
4. Start Cognos
5. Perform full import of the previous backup
