Hi Guys,
I have a filter which should filter out a columns based on the given text.
For eg:
I have a column which gives many values like "Untitled","Processed" etc
When I enter the text as "untitled", only the values "Untitled" ( only with uppercase 'U') are being listed out but not the ones which start with lower case 'u'
Any solution for the above?/??...
Thanks,
KR
Hi,
In your filter apply the Upper function to your given column value. This will convert all values to Uppercase for you.

Not sure you can use an upper function in Query Studio, but you could in Report Studio. In QS I think you could try a couple different options:
- Modify the ETL process to do the conversion to a consistent case such as upper (or consistent proper case).
- Modify the Framework Manager model to do the conversion to a consistent case.
- In Query Studio use the search and select prompt (rather than type in values) which has the option "Case insensitive" checked by default.
- In Query Studio use the pick list prompt (rather than type in values) which would show all flavors. This may not perform well rendering the list if you don't have a dimension table for the values.
Ah Yes... my mistake I didn't read the question properly
Forget my bit and do as the Lady says instead :D

Honestly! What kind of people do you take us for? Us boys stick together. I would never use harsh words against Rob. Well, not while I owe him a beer, anyway! ;) ;D

The male to female ratio on this forum is 12.3:1 according to the Forum stats page. Seems to me you guys can't help but stick together as you're pretty much everywhere all the time.
I'm certainly hoping that whoever the three tenths of a man is finds his other seven tenths eventually. :o

Hee hee. I meant to have a word with the admins about that. Could it be construed as discriminating that they have a guys/girls ratio but nothing for muppets? Not a single mention anywhere. Or maybe they class a muppet as one third male? If so, perhaps that explains your superfluous three tenths of a man... ulp! ::)

Disappointed perhaps, but not cross!

Er... yes. Disappointed. That's what I meant, of course! Just a slip of the fingers. Not cross. No no no. Disappointed. :) Just thought I'd clear that up in case you got "disappointed" with me! :D
