how to give the access to an user in to cognos directory. we r using cognos 8.2 version. can this be done through cognos connection?

Any suggestions...?

I'm not sure if I understand the question as its a bit cyptic

Whay do you mean my Cognos directory? Do you mean the Cognos Namespace?

What is the outcome you are trying to achieve?

Hi,

You can provide access to the users in Cognos directory through the Cognos administration.
There you can provide various kinds of permissions like traverse,Read,Write,Execute or Set policy depending upon your requirements.

Hi Prerna Chaudhary

If we can maintain Permissions to Users in Framework manager
i.e Read,Write etc..
then We should maintain in Package Level Security in FM
