I have a report view that is performing very poorly and I am not entirely sure why. If I run the main report with the same parameters stored in the report view, the report will run and save in about 30 minutes (it is a large report set). If I try to run the report view in the background and have it save to the server, it never seems to finish - it just runs for hours before I give up and cancel it. Is there something I am missing in the report view configuration?
When I select save the report I select 3 versions: HTML, PDF and Excel 2007, as this is what the business has requested. I guess if I select 3 formats - it would be equivalent to running the report 3 times, so maybe I would expect an hour and a half - but even after 4 hours it does not finish.
The only other special thing I have to have enabled is Enable enhanced user features in saved output versions - but even unchecked I get the same problem.
Any thoughts/ideas?
