We just updated from 8 to 10.
When I run reports in Excel, the fields shows full lenghts, causing all Excel formulars to fail as I have to trim.
Is it possible to disable this "full length" so fields only contains actual amount of characters and not a lot of blanks?
Have you tried using the TRIM functions? This will eliminate any space padding on the value (LTRIM removes left spaces, RTRIM removes right spaces).

Yes I use trim for some reports, but I would like to avoid inserting Trim in +100 reports :)
Try to use trim in FM Then. But still its lots of work.
