Hi dude,

Are there any server alive mechanisms in Cognos10 so that I can keep checking the status of the services are up/ down?

Or any suggested methods are suitable for the purpose?

Hit http://<server>:CMPort/p2pd/servlet to see if the CM is running
Hit http://<server>:AppPort/p2pd/servlet/dispatch to see if the App/Dispatcher is running, if you get a login prompt it's up.

We use Openview to monitor and automatically start services if they stop for any reason.
