Hi Cognos Gurus,
I have a question regarding the compatibility between Cognos 8.4.1 and SQL Server 2008 R2,
I have seen on the compatibility page of Cognos (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27018542) that MS SQL 2008 is compatiblie with Cognos 8.4.1.
What I am wondering now is the compatibility with SQL 2008 R2.
I will need to install Cognos on this database but there is no place documented that this is supported in any way.
Can any one please help me??

You linked the "Planning" supported env page. Here is the BI link:

That said that link does not list it either. If it is not listed it is assumed that it is not supported. That's not to say that it won't work however.
10.1.1 does however list it explicitly as supported for both query and content DB. (BI link again)

I have multiple 8.4.1 environments in production running against SQL Server 2008 R2 for the past year atleast and I am yet to see issues related to this.
