I have a query subject which contains opportunities names.I want to make number of opportunities as a measure.Please tell me the steps to do so.

This isn't always as easy as it sounds. The issue is you don't know how the users are going to reference this in the report i.e. what do they want the number of opportunities by (e.g. do they want the number by month, by type or by some other attribute you have in the model). Because of that I've found the easiest way of doing this is to add a calculation to the query subject. The calculation just says 1. Users can then aggregate this in the report to get the number of opportunities by whatever attibute they want to see it by.
I know that may sound a bit wierd, try see if it gives you what you're looking for.
