Hi all,

i am new to cognos admin, i know the roles of a cognos administrator as he takes care of security, servers .....
but can any one tells me in details what a cognos admin should do and does.

They make sure that the Cognos server is always running and available for users and devs.

thanks for the reply Grim, can u please explain a bit deeper. means what else he takes care of other then servers and what are the things he should maintain for the servers?

Security, data sources, troubleshooting...

Read the install and config guide and the Admin and security guide. That's what the admin does.
