Title: Audit Database not capturing Logs in SQL Server 2012
Post by: fry on 29 Jun 2013 12:19:12 PM
Good Afternoon

I was able to create a SQL Server 2012 DB called CognosLogDB and apply sqljdbc4.jar and sqljdbc_auth.dlll in the appropriate cognos directories for JDBC. I created in Cognos Configuration, under logging the connection, which I am able to validate.

When I restarted the services, the tables were not created in the DB. I manually ran the scripts in Management Studio to create tables, but they are not being populated with any logs. I have turned on Auditing to Basic in Cognos Connection ?

Any suggestions ?

Thank You

In general the database being created is a good indicator of things working. You shouldn't create it yourself.

It sounds like you're only connecting via the administration page in Cognos. What happens when you test the connection from the configuration?
