We are working on a Customer opportunity where we need to generate PDF report in Indian Regional language (Kannada )
We are able to show the data in HTML and Excel format but PDF shows junk characters as rectangles.
We have already applied following settings to display Kannada script in Cognos Report
- Install Kannada Fonts (Uma and Nandi) on Cognos Server
- Add these fonts in Cognos Configuration (This gives Kannada text in HTML and Excel formats)
- Set Include these fonts in PDF as true
- Set PDF encoding for Report Service and Batch Service as True
We are still not able to render the PDF report in Kannada language.
Please let me know if we are missing any steps to show Regional language in PDF format.
