Title: Unable to integrate Cognos 10.1.1 with OAS Apache server
Post by: BI_at_ARINC on 09 Oct 2013 01:04:37 PM
Hi All,
I'm trying to install the Cognos 32bit Gateway on a Linux RHEL 5.1 machine.  I get the following error when I try to launch the Apache HTTP Server:

/cognos/c10/cgi-bin/mod2_2_cognos.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?

I'm running Cognos 10.1.1 (haven't gotten to the point where I install FP1 yet) and httpd -v returns the following:

Server version: Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.2.2.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server

My questions
1. Can I run Cognos on the Apache server provided by Oracle 10g?
2. If so, should I be using Apache module 2.2 or module 2?
3. If not, is the recommendation to install another instance of Apache on this machine?

Thanks in advance.

10.1.1 does not support OAS.

Try it with the regular plain jane Apache and see if you get better results.
