Title: How to hide rows based on selection in Cognos, data source is SSAS cube
Post by: xyz on 07 Jan 2014 08:44:46 AM
Hi Gurus,

Basically I have Trend column with Red, Green, Yellow arrows. So based on the selection of the text in the report header parameter, I have to display only those rows in the report.

Can you guys, please help me, how I can achieve the same in Cognos, where data source is SSAS cube.

Thanks & Regards,
Abdul

I did it by using filters in the report.

I imagine the arrows were conditional formats based on the value in a specified column? It should simply be a matter of figuring out the condition which defines each different arrow, then filtering on the same condition dependent on the selection made in your prompt?

MF.

Yes MF,

you are correct, the arrows are conditional format once, I used the same condition to filter rows based on the selection in the prompt.
